Etsy jewelry photos, ready to upload
Etsy shoppers decide from a 1:1 thumbnail. A cluttered background costs clicks even when the piece is right. Generate the clean version in one step, then upload the original alongside it for authenticity.
Backgrounds you can pick

Built for the 1:1 grid
The photo is cropped square before generation with the piece centred, so the thumbnail reads at any size.
Consistent shop aesthetic
Use one background for every listing and the shop grid looks deliberate. Switch scenes per collection when you want a refresh.
Honest listings
Details stay in place: no invented stones, no changed metal. What the buyer sees is the piece you photographed.
Which images a listing actually needs
Etsy allows up to ten photos per listing. A practical set: one clean square hero, two alternate backgrounds, one detail crop on the stone or clasp, one scale shot on a hand or bust, and one packaging photo. Generate the clean shots here and keep the rest as they are.
Background, not a new product
Buyers penalise listings where the received piece differs from the photo. Because the model is instructed to preserve the jewelry and not redraw it, the generated hero stays truthful — it changes the room, not the ring.
Questions
Are generated images allowed on Etsy?
The photo must still represent the actual piece you sell. Here the jewelry is preserved and only the background is replaced, which keeps the listing accurate — check Etsy’s current policy for your category before publishing.
What size should I upload?
Any phone photo under 5 MB works. Etsy recommends at least 2000px on the shortest side for zoom; the generator outputs up to 1536px per side, so keep the original for the zoom view.
Can I use the same background for a whole shop?
That is the point of picking one scene. White and beige are the safest for a mixed catalog.
